Answers to Prayer
Hi Everyone,
Tona and I have recently been praying hard that we might be able to leave for Queretaro by the end of March and for the first time that is actually looking possible. Over the last couple of weeks we have been meeting with more families and individuals than ever before and WE NOW HAVE 75% IN PLEDGED SUPPORT. That is about $3,500 out of $5,000 in monthly support. Thank you for all your prayers for us!
We do have 25% more to raise and for those that already give (or currently may be unable to give financially), there is a way you can help us get to Mexico by the end of March. WE NEED NEW CONTACTS, AND YOU CAN HELP US MEET NEW PEOPLE. This can be by calling up trusted friends or inviting Tona and I to come share with a small Bible study you may attend. PLEASE prayerfully consider who you might be able to call on our behalf to make this mission outreach a reality.
On the side, I have included some different pictures of the area where we will be working. They are a little disconnected with the rest of the email, but I think they are important to share!
One of the many benefits to support raising is that you really get to see how God works in amazing ways. One of those stories is actually one I just experienced a week ago as I meet with a supporter over breakfast. After having shared with him about our ministry and eating, I left and the supporter I was meeting with stayed behind to pick up his things. On his way out, a lady that was also there at the restaurant stopped him and asked if the person he was meeting with happened to be Tim Bedford. He answered affirming her hunch, sharing that we had been meeting about mission; and then the lady proceded to confess that she and her husband had been praying about supporting someone new. She then asked for my phone number and last week I got a call from her and we will be meeting soon. God works in mysterious ways!
This story was in answer to my prayers that God would not merely bring us supporters, but that He would lead us to (or in this case lead them to us!) the right people. Please continue to lift up this need of support to God these next couple of months. Pray that God would bring in the last 25% quickly and that we might be able to come into contact with the right people. Also, please take some time to consider if you might know anyone that we could get in touch with.

Jack is here!
Greetings to all from Hickory Creek, TX!
As many have have already heard, Jack Micah Bedford was born last Thursday, June 5th at 5:48am. After 24 hours of labor, Jack Micah suprised the world with a full head of jet black hair. Weighing in at 7lbs. 12oz., he wasn't the biggest kid in the nursury, but we were thankful that he was a nice healthy weight. Things are definitely changing around the Bedford household. One of the rooms has been converted into a nursury, food has gone from spicy Mexican to tame American (out of necesity), and restful nights have become diaper changing baby feeding marathons. Life is changing, but life is great.
Right now, as the Missionary Training classes are out for the summer, that has left time for more involvement in other ministries. In the last few months, I have taken up a position in the kid's ministry at Grace Bible (a plant from Denton Bible) and have decided to lead a trip to Queretaro, Mexico in late July. This trip will also serve as a chance for Tona and I to see the city there to help us decide if Queretaro is where God would have us long term. We still have not decided where would be best yet. Please pray for that all important decision.
The Bedford family is still on the move raising support. Last month was very promising and some good progress was made. The next month and a half is the time where I will really be trying to hit support raising hard as I have these 6 weeks relatively free (relatively - see paragraph one). I ask that you be praying for us in the transition time this summer because I have decided to not go back to Calvery to teach Spanish. I decided that if I went back it would most likely result in staying a full year more, and our goal is to leave for Mexico full time in January of 2010. This means we will be only on support for the last 7 months of our time here in the States and is a large leap of faith going from a solid pay check to support.
Also, an exciting new addition to the Mexico Team was announced at last week's Missions Conference. Paul and Denise Lambert along with their family of 7 kids will be joining us as the new field director of Mexico for Serve. Paul has been working in Mexico for about 15 years and has some great experience working in Mexico and also has a very developed ministry already in existance in the city of Queretaro. We are exited to welcome him aboard!
The missions conference was a wonderful time of fellowship, Bible study, and reflection. Speaker Mark Young preached the work of God!!! I have never heard the parable of the Good Samaritan preached in such a convicting way. Also, it was a huge priveledge to get to see so many of God's Ambassadors from so many parts of the globe. We had a table set up outside that had pictures, candy, and some homemade chips and salsa. It was great to be able to talk to supporters, friends, and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
As always, we love to hear from everyone from time to time, so if you have a minute, let us know how you are doing and how we can be praying for you!

Tim, Tona, and Jack Bedford

Las Buenas Noticias!!!!
I write you all to give you some very great news!!! Tona and I are expecting in approxamately 8 months a brand new baby!!! We are excited about this new development in our lives and want you all to share in this exciting step in our marriage. Nothing could be a bigger blessing than to be able to have a family, and we thank God for bestowing this blessing upon us. PLEASE continue to pray for us as a family as we need your prayers more now than ever. Pray that:
1. Tona would continue on in good health throughout the pregnancy.
2. That we could find a suitable doctor, hospital, and maternity program.
3. That God would work extra hard on Tona and I to be an example to our child.
4. That God would grant us wisdom in raising our child.
5. That we would be able to raise our support to a level even beyond our imagination.
6. That we would be able to finish strong in the Missionary Training Institute and learn all that our minds can handle.
7. We could continue to impact our friends, family, city, and society for Jesus Christ.
8. That the Lord would provide us the means to get back on the field as is possible after our training.
Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support through all this last year. I pray for you all that God might work in you and through you and to represent Jesus Christ our Lord well.
