Medical Mission Trip
Twenty two people are getting on an all night bus tonight to leave to Pampa del Indio, Chaco, a province in the north of Argentina. Chaco is a province where poverty is common and where a considerable Toba population lives. The Tobas are one of a dozen of ethnic groups that live in Argentina. What's unique about this trip is that we are combining a mission trip from our church in Argentina with a mission trip from Denton Bible Church (11 from DBC and 12 from our church in Argentina, Centro Cristiano de la Union - one girl will meet us there)
We will be doing evangelism, medical and dental treatment to people in the area. Its a wonderful opportunity to meet physical and spiritual needs. I will be visiting the existing BTCP centers and will be looking at starting a new one in a province that neighbors Chaco, the province of Formosa.
Caro, my wife is in her third trimester and could not get one of the shots that is encouraged for the area we are going so we decided for her and Alaina to stay behind. Please pray for them as I will be gone for a week.
Pray for a fruitful, encouraging trip both for the people we hope to minister to and for the ones going. I am so excited for the argentines from our church that had to raise support and in some cases are having their first taste of missions. Pray that God would use this trip in a mighty way!
God has already been at work. We didn't know if we would be able to get the medications through customs (we didn't have clear answers as to how to bring the medications to Argentina until a few days before where we heard that it wouldn't be possible to enter large quantities of medication). After checking a couple of bags and seeing a letter of invitation from a pastor in Chaco for this Denton team to do medical work, the team was able to get all the medications into the country!
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support!
